Washington’s inclusion isn’t surprising as against a Sri Lanka batting unit that has a couple of left-handers at the top, his off-breaks will come in handy and he can also be used in the first powerplay overs.
Coming at No 8, Axar scored 42 off 34 deliveries in a knock that included three boundaries and two sixes. But during the knock, he suffered two blows, one to his fingers and on his left hand.
