According to sources contacted by, the Netherlands cricket team will arrive in India on September 20. It is understood that the Dutch side will land in Bengaluru early morning in a bid to kick-start their World Cup preparation. As per the source, the team, led by Scott Edwards, will begin their training in Alur on September 21.

Warm-up Games and Travels:

  • With Dutch legend Ryan ten Doeschate’s men taking on Australia in their first warm-up game on September 30 ahead of the ODI World Cup, the team is expected to stay put in Alur until September 28 before moving to Trivandrum.
  • In Trivandrum, they will lock horns with India, one of the strong favorites for the 2023 World Cup title, in their second warm-up encounter.

World Cup Matches:

The ‘Oranje’ army will kick off their World Cup campaign with an intense group-stage match on October 6 against Pakistan in the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. They will wrap up their group stage campaign at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with a clash against India on November 12.

Qualification and Aim:

The Netherlands beat the likes of the West Indies and Scotland to qualify for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Currently ranked 14th in the ICC ODI rankings, the Netherlands are entering the competition with an aim to spoil a few parties.
