Rohit Sharma Praises Rishabh Pant’s Aggressive Batting Style

India captain Rohit Sharma heaped massive praise on wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant and said it’s
important for a team to have a player like him who can attack from ball one. Pant, who is currently
recovering from the injuries he sustained during a car accident last year, has played several
astonishing knocks for India under pressure in the red-ball format. Pant is currently undergoing
rehabilitation at the NCA but India have yet not been able to find his ideal replacement in the Test
team. The Asian Giants have tried KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan in the crucial spot in his absence.

“He knows the situation of the game that it can go either way but his aim is to shift in our way. He
always looks to go to the positive side and he has got enough results. I think it’s important to have
a player like him. We want someone to create the pressure from ball one,” he added.

Pant recently made a surprise visit to his teammates in Alur, where the Men in Blue were preparing for
the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.

Since last December, after the car accident, Rishabh Pant has been sharing frequent updates with fans
regarding his fitness. While he was seen initially walking with crutches, slowly he started walking
without any support and in the latest video, he can be seen cycling with ease, without the knee brace
that he is usually seen wearing.
