Indian cricket team’s jersey for Asian Games 2023
In a video shared on the official social media of JSW Sports, Indian women’s team cricketer Shafali Verma could be seen sporting the new jersey. Netizens have their say on the new jersey for Team India and the Indian Asian Games contingent.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officially revealed the ceremonial attire and playing outfit intended for the Indian contingent. Leading the Indian cricket team will be Ruturaj Gaikwad, the opening batsman for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Gaikwad prepared for the event by attending a practice session in Pune, sharing a glimpse of it on his Instagram story.
Remarkably, this marks the first-ever participation of the Indian cricket team in the Asian Games. The Indian women’s team was given permission last year to take part in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The event did not feature any men’s cricket competition.
