Vijay Antony’s daughter Meera found dead in her home

The daughter of famous actor and music director Vijay Antony allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday. Meera, 16, was found dead at her residence in Chennai’s Teynampet early Tuesday.

Medical assistance could not save her

She was reportedly taken to a hospital in Mylapore but was declared dead by doctors.

Police investigation underway

“The child was rushed to a private hospital at Mylapore early this morning. Doctors declared brought dead. It appears the child killed herself,” a senior police officer told NDTV.

“Investigation is underway and we can’t say anything now,” another police officer said.

A tragic loss for the Antony family

Meera was one of actor Vijay Antony and his wife Fathima’s two daughters.

She was a Class 12th student and was battling stress, according to reports. She studied at a private school in Chennai.

Post-mortem to be conducted

Her body has now been sent for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
