Why Pallavi Joshi Was Cast
In a candid interview with Republic World, Vivek Agnihotri opened up about why he cast his wife, Pallavi Joshi, in his films. He explained, “I don’t cast mediocre actors. I cast National Award-winning actors. Pallavi is a great actress and that is why she finds a place in my film. Moreover, she is a senior to me in the industry. She brings dimensions and dynamics to the character which my writing does not provide. She is smart and intelligent, and it is always fun to work with intelligent actors.”
‘The Most Difficult Film’ of Vivek Agnihotri’s Career
Vivek Agnihotri considers ‘The Vaccine War’ to be the most challenging film he has ever made, and one that surpasses the difficulties of any future projects. He described it as a film based on complex science, where they had to make invisible concepts visible. He further added, “Everything around the film was so difficult, and I had to make it so simple that even an uneducated Indian woman can understand it. I think we have been able to achieve that.”
