Anushka Shetty’s Romantic-Comedy ‘Miss Shetty Mrs Polishetty’ Hits Screens
Anushka Shetty-led romantic-comedy ‘Miss Shetty Mrs Polishetty’ has finally hit the screens and the audience has been excited to see the comeback of the ‘Baahubali’ star. The movie also stars Naveen Polishetty in the lead role. The light-hearted film revolves around a feminist woman living in London, who wants to be single forever. Her life changes when she meets a man, who wants to be in a committed relationship. The movie had a decent opening on day 1 but saw a dip on the second day amid the craze of ‘Jawan’.
Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty Box Office Collection Day 2:
According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’ collected Rs 2 crore as per early estimates on day 2 and its total box office collection now stands at Rs 4.60 crore. The movie collected Rs 2.60 crore on its opening day.
Anushka Shetty Talks About ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’
In an interview with 123telugu.com, Anushka talked about why she said yes to working in ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’. “I travelled with its story for about two years. I heard the story in 2019, and the film is very close to my heart. I am extremely nervous about the release because, at the end of the day, it is the audience who has to give their opinion. I feel nervous on the first day of the shoot and during a film’s release,” she said.
Working with Naveen Polishetty
Talking about working with Naveen Polishetty, she said, “He is a natural performer. Not just comedy, Naveen is good at portraying a wide range of emotions. You will see the other side of Naveen through Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty. During the shoot, I always used to tell Naveen about this. He is a highly talented artist, and I am elated to share screen space with him.”
Anushka’s Interest in OTT Projects
Anushka also expressed her interest in working on the OTT projects and told 123telugu.com, “Nishabdham took the OTT route due to Covid. It was actually meant for theatres. I am a huge fan of theatrical experience. The experience we get in theatres is totally different. But the kind of content OTTs are bringing is really incredible, and they push us to think out of the box.”
She added, “If I come across any exciting script, I will definitely act in OTT shows, too. There are no geographical barriers now, and it is just Indian cinema. I am ready to work in any language if the script is good. Acting in different languages and with different actors and technicians will be nice.”

On the work front, Anushka will be seen in ‘Kathanar The Wild Sorcerer’ with Jayasurya.
